How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're gonna take a look at the Yakima EXO System set up with the GearWarrior and GearLocker on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma. So, the EXO System is awesome because it allows you to customize your setup for whatever you're doing. In this particular configuration, we have it for more of a cargo setup where we have the GearLocker at the bottom and the GearWarrior cargo basket on the top. What that does for you, it's gonna allow you to increase the amount of cargo you can carry with you when you're going out on your adventures. So, you know, with the Tacoma, it's the shorter bed, so you don't have a lot of space. So, it's a easy way to add additional storage area for your trip. more

Now this is gonna be a great option for you if you find yourself kind of moving anything that's pretty heavy and has wheels. So if you move into a lawnmower, a push one, and if you maybe have, maybe a generator with wheels and you need to get it up here, it's gonna make it a lot easier with that ramp. And if you find yourself not really needing to use the ramp any, that's all right, it still works just like a regular cargo carrier. And to kind of put it back up into its stationary position, all you have to do is lift up on the ramp, let it fold in on itself at the center, and push up here, letting these two halves squeeze together. more

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this aluminum cargo carrier from Flint Hill Goods, and we put it on a 2021 Toyota Rav 4. Cargo carrier's a great idea to get more room out of your Rav 4 if you don't want to mess with a cargo box on top, or if you just wanna make more leg room for everybody on a longer trip, you can move some of that gear out here, strap it down, and be on your way. Another cool thing is that if you want messy or dirty gear, you can put it, throw it on here, and not bring that mess inside the Rav 4, you can just spray this off and be done with it. Now, this is gonna be a lightweight aluminum cargo carrier, so that means it's gonna be easy to put in the hitch or take out and store in your garage. Just because it's aluminum though, doesn't mean it's not heavy duty, it can still handle up to 500 pounds, so you can still load up your gear and not worry about it. more

First impressions of this on the back of the Highlander, I could really see how this would be useful in a lot of different scenarios, especially on those long trips. Maybe you got the car fully loaded and you lose out on a lot of that cargo space and so you're gonna be able to put all those other things back here. Or especially, you know, if it's one of those deals where you have cargo that you don't necessarily wanna put inside of your vehicle, you can put it back here, or you have stuff that's kind of bulky, but you know, actually hooking up a separate trailer doesn't really, it's not really justified, so this is kind of that go-between and being completely covered, it goes a long way. Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Howdy everyone, John here. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now this is gonna be a great choice if you need a little extra room for any of your stuff on a trip and you don't want to put it inside your vehicle itself. Now my friends and I are planning on going to Colorado during summer and we're going to be doing some car camping, so the inside of our vehicle isn't going to be able to be used for any type of cargo because we'll be sleeping there. Now the 4Runner does have raised rails but unfortunately it's a little bit finicky whenever it comes to how much roof clearance you have along with other problems. Now this is a great choice if you wanna be able to put some of your cargo maybe camping equipment and whenever we're gonna be using that we don't have to worry about it being attacked by the elements because it's going to be enclosed. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be checking out the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier. First impressions of the carrier on the back of the Highlander, I think it's a good fit, you know, this is more of a medium-sized one compared to some of the other ones out there, but still gonna give you ample room to be able to pile a bunch of stuff up back here and you know, not have to put it on the inside Highlander. I know a lot of people use these when they're going on trips and things like that, so give you a little more breathing room on the inside. Or if you just have stuff that you don't really want to put on the inside of your car, maybe a cooler or if you're doing stuff around the house maybe you need a couple bags of mulch or dirt or anything along the lines, you know, having this is gonna allow you to put all that stuff back here and keep it outside. One thing that I like to do before going on a trip or something like that, is kinda have everything loaded up and ready to rock and roll for the next morning. more

Now this is going to be a modular hitch system and what I mean by that is, it's got a sliding door hitch, just like any normal accessory would, but all the other accessories like this box and the ski carrier on top are gonna be completely modular. So we're looking at this current configuration today, seeing how it fits on the Tundra, and what you can do with it. But just know that all these accessories can be swapped out. This carrier is rated to hold a weight capacity of up to 500 pounds. It only weighs 25 pounds, so to get all that weight capacity out of there is nice. The carrier is made of aluminum so it's still pretty lightweight. It's not gonna add a ton of pounds to your tongue weight, so that's a nice feature. Additionally, you can see that there are a bunch of gaps in the middle where things could fall through, like just the sand and the mud, not specifically your items 'cause this is so close enough that most of those should be fine. more

Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
The Reese Solo Cargo Carrier is gonna be a great addition to your 2015 Toyota 4Runner, so you can get a lot of that stuff from the inside of your vehicle and you can put it on the outside to make it a lot better of a ride. The more stuff that we have on these trips, the more cluttered it gets on the inside, but this is gonna be the biggest of all the ones that we have on our website, so it's gonna be 48 inches long and 32 inches wide, and we have these sides, which stick up about three inches. So with your standard sized cargo carriers, we can't fit a standard size cooler long ways like this, it takes up a lot of space whenever we have to put this on a normal sized carrier. So if you're looking for something that is gonna give you the most amount of space, the Reese Solo is gonna be the one that's gonna do it. There is something you can add onto this carrier though. Notice on that side by you, we have some bolts, two here and two on the other side. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT 17 by 46 hitch mounted cargo carrier here on our 2021 Toyota CHR. So the CHR is a rather small crossover type SUV therefore we don't have a ton of cargo space. Now, depending on where we're gonna be going and what we're gonna be taking with us, if we have a large family that we're gonna be going on a large road trip, we're obviously gonna need some extra space to carry our gear. Well, there's a couple of different options for this. People like to put them on the roof with a roof rack in a roof mounted cargo basket and that's a great option, but really the downside of that is you're gonna be lifting those heavy suitcases onto the roof of the vehicle there and then taking them off. It's gonna be a little cumbersome. more

Now, this cargo carrier is pretty useful for when you're going to the beach and you have sand and everything, so you just want to put there, you're hiking, you want to put your muddy stuff here, everything you don't want in your car can go in here.Okay. So for this cargo carrier, it's 24 by six feet, which is basically actually as long as I am tall and it has a 500 pound weight capacity. So it has this mesh bottom, which I actually prefer because it's small enough so things don't really fall out, but it's really easy just to hose off after a muddy or a sandy day. So it's easy to clean and we have here a little reflector tape so when you're driving on the road, that helps with safety as well.All right. So let's see how deep this cargo carrier is. more

Maybe we're going on a road trip and we want to make sure we have as much space on the inside of our Highlander so we can move a lot of that gear to the outside. It's definitely a lot easier to load this up rather than any kind of cargo basket that may be on top of a roof rack. I don't know about you, but I'm a little bit on the shorter side so if I have a cooler or some larger, bigger gear, definitely a lot more convenient to put it back here than try to get it all the way up above my head.This is going to be a pretty decent size. more

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com.Today on our 2011 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer hitch mounted cargo carrier.Cargo carrier's going to help you get a couple of different things done. Can either carry some additional cargo that you normally couldn't fit on the inside, or you can take all the stuff that you do normally carry inside, put it outside, freeing up some more space for family and friends.This actually is one of the bigger carriers available, which is a good thing, being that the Sienna is typically more of a family vehicle. And those owners have a lot of stuff to carry around.It's going to measure 24 inches long, 60 inches wide, and 5 and a half inches deep, which is going to be plenty big enough to fit on those full size coolers, camping gear, sporting equipment, whatever you may have.Now our carrier is going to extend the overall length of our van. By exactly how much, we'll take a measurement. From the bumper to the edge of the rack, it's going to be about 32 inches. That's something to keep in mind whenever you're pulling into your garage or even into a tight parking spot.Now as far as the ground clearance here at the back of the carrier, from our lowest point to the ground is right at 13 inches, which isn't super high up, but it's also not very far down. more

Hi there Highlander owners. Today in your 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting Reese's solo cargo carrier with folding grant. With this cargo carrier, you're going to be adding a lot of space to the back of your vehicle for the maximum carrying capacity of 400 pounds. This is great for items such as stability scooters, generators, or lawn care equipment like a mower.Another great thing I like about this, especially with our Highlander here, is that we still have full access to our hatchback here as the tailgate'll open up and it'll clear our carrier so we don't need to store our items in the back. We can put our heavy equipment here and easily get back here for our smaller lighter items. Now, whatever you're going to be hauling on your cargo carrier, you want to make sure you have it tightened down and secure.We're using Smartstraps 500 pound ratcheting straps to keep our generators secure. more

Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, we're going to be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Folding Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, with a 450 pound weight capacity. It's part number is 59550. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position, we'll have about 15-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 4" away, and overall we've added about 12" to the length of the Tacoma. Pulling the large red handle on the top of the carrier will allow us to tilt it into its loading position. As you can see, in this position we do have the room to open the tailgate. Here at the rear of the rack, we'll have about 19-1/4" worth of ground clearance, and overall we've added about 37-1/2" to the length of our truck. The exhaust on our Tacoma exits the passenger side, just behind the rear wheel. This shouldn't have any kind of effect on heat sensitive materials. We're now ready to load our cargo carrier with gear and hit the road. That will complete today's test fit of the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier, part number 59550, on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma were going to be test fitting the 17x50 MaxxTow Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches with a 500 pound weight capacity. Its part number is MT70107. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with our clip. Our cargo carriers going to offer us about 14 3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance here at the rear. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our trucks about 3 1/4 inches away, and overall weve added about 23 1/4 inches to the length of our Tacoma. As you can see, we do have room to fully open our tailgate without any interference from our cargo carrier. The exhaust on our Tacoma exits the passenger side, just behind the rear wheel. It shouldnt affect any kind of heat sensitive materials we may be transporting. more
